Canada’s PR visa is one of the most desired visas in the world. Thousands of immigrants wish to become permanent residents of Canada every year to start a new life. Once you are a Canadian immigrant, you get the benefits like free healthcare & education, a safe environment, a quality life, etc. Also, this maple county holds a plethora of high-paying jobs across different sectors. Therefore, the number of immigrants moving to Canada is increasing greatly.
By the end of 2025, approximately 1.5 million will be admitted to Canada through different immigration pathways. Inviting immigrants in large numbers will help Canada accomplish economic and demographic goals.
Canada invites newcomers through multiple immigration pathways such as FSWP, FSTP, CEC, PNP, family sponsorship, etc. candidates can opt for any pathway with which they align. Each immigration pathway comes up with a different eligibility and processing time. The precise Canada PR processing time from India will depend on the stream/program you are applying through.
Below are some of the popular immigration pathways with their approximate application processing time. However, the exact processing time will depend on the individual’s profile characteristics. Therefore, you should prepare the application as directed to mitigate the chances of rejection and long-processing time.
⇒ Express Entry System:
This system is responsible for managing the application of three major economic programs; FSWP, FSTP, and CEC. So, whenever any application is submitted through any program under EE, it may take approximately 6 to 8 months to be processed post-submission of the main Permanent Residence Visa application. In addition, applications submitted through express entry are processed much faster by the IRCC than by any other pathway.
⇒ Provincial Nominee Program:
PNP is also considered one of the fastest ways of getting Canadian PR after the Express Entry System. Although this route is effective for candidates not able to score enough CRS score to meet the cut-off.
⇒ Quebec Skilled Worker Program:
The office's client communication technique is a truly remarkable model; they frequently supported me even after their working hours.
Thank you!
I'd like to convey my gratitude to the entire team for supporting me in obtaining a permanent residence visa in Canada. The staff is really courteous and always responds to my queries promptly. I already recommended their services to my friends & family.
Finally, I received my PR, and I am extremely delighted with the services provided by Dynamic Immigration Consultancy. They are quite helpful during the immigration procedure. In addition, I appreciate how they communicate with their clients and assist them in every way possible. Everyone was incredibly supportive during the process. Thank you very much!
I had a fantastic experience and feel fortunate to let them take over my immigration case. They are very knowledgeable and professional. Throughout the process, the team has been highly supportive and helpful. I was constantly pestering them, but they were always patient with me. For any immigration services, I strongly suggest Dynamic group.
This route is highly suitable for applicants willing to settle in Quebec permanently as an immigrant. Quebec comes with its immigration gateways and eligibility criteria. However, the eligibility criteria may change over time as per the demographic and economic needs. If you apply for PR through Quebec Skilled Worker Program, the IRCC may take approximately 15 to 20 months to process your application.
⇒ Atlantic Immigration Pilot:
Atlantic Immigration Pilot is considered suitable for applicants planning to live and work in the Atlantic region of Canada. Before you commence the process, ensure you support the program’s requirements. If any application is submitted through this immigration pathway, the Canada PR process time will be approximately 12 to 24 months.
Immigration Program | Canada PR Processing Time from India |
---|---|
Express Entry System Program | 6 to 8 months |
Provincial Nominee Program | 6 to 8 months |
Quebec Skilled Worker Program | 15 to 20 months |
Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program | 12 to 24 months |
Below are some common factors that can affect the Canada PR processing time from India. So, please look over your application thoroughly before you submit it. To get better clarity, you can opt for the assistance of an immigration consultant. An immigration consultant can be of high assistance in your Canada immigration process. Canada immigration consultants will help at every step to make the process smooth.
⇒ Submission of the Right and Valid Documents-
Documentation plays a significant role in your entire immigration process. Attaching the right and valid documents will increase your application chances of being processed faster. Compiling the wrong documents with your application will automatically cause a delay in Canada PR processing time. So, you'll need to attach all the mandatory documents along with the correct fees to avoid such instances.
Sometimes, the authorities may even reject your application based on false documents. If rejected, you will have to begin the process again from scratch. It will be better to involve an immigration consultant to make the process smooth and stress-free.
⇒ Type of Program-
As you already know, there are multiple immigration programs available via which one can submit their application for Canada PR. However, the highest number of entries in Canada are taken through Express Entry. Thus, the total number of applicants for a program also hinders the Canada PR processing time. So, if you applied through a program that already has applications excessively will increase Canada PR processing time from India too.
⇒ Accuracy and completeness of the Application-
Submitting an incomplete application can also hamper the processing time. If you submit an incomplete application, the IRCC may reject the application or may ask you to submit the relevant documents. Therefore, make sure you submit a well-organized application with the following documents-
You need to prepare a complete application with the most accurate documents. Our team of Immigration professionals will share the complete document checklist, which is generally asked by the concerned authorities.
If you desire to immigrate to Canada from India in 2023, adhere to the below-listed steps. However, the procedure may be slightly different if you apply through a different program. And if you cannot find the right immigration pathway and procedure, get in touch with the immigration consultant.
⇒ Step-1 Meeting FSWP Eligibility Requirements
If candidates apply through the FSWP program under Express Entry, they need to secure 67 points. The 67 points in the FSWP assessment are allotted to candidates based on the following factors:
Meeting the requirement of 67 points is mandatory for all candidates applying through this gateway. Therefore, before you apply for this program, ensure you meet the minimum requirements. Conversely, the requirements differ if you apply via any other program under EE, such as CEC and FSTP.
⇒ Step-2 ECA
Once eligible for the FSW program, you must go for the ECA. ECA stands for Education Credential Assessment, which proves that your education is equivalent to Canadian education. However, you are required to get the ECA report only when you have obtained an education outside of Canada. In case you completed your education within Canada, you will be asked to submit your education credentials, not the ECA report.
There are multiple esteemed ECA organizations in Canada, such as WES, IQAS, and ICAS, etc. the processing time and charges of each organization are different. Therefore, before you finalize any ECA organization for education assessment, kindly go through the processing time and fees.
⇒ Step-3 Creating an Express Entry Profile
After completing the ECA process, you can create an Express Entry profile. While creating the EE profile, you need to fill in the following details accurately without any discrepancies-
To add the complete information to your Express Entry profile, you would need some documents, such as an IELTS report card and NOC. All candidates will have to complete the profile within 60 days. Once you exhaust the deadline, you must start creating the EE profile from scratch. Therefore, before you initiate the process, please ensure you are up to all the mandatory documents for Canada PR.
⇒ Note: There are other pathways as well through which you can apply for a Canadian PR visa. One such PR visa program is Provincial Nominee Program (PNP).
⇒ Step-4 Be Open for the PNP Option
You can opt for the PNP (Provincial Nominee Program) pathway if you need to align with the CRS score in the Express Entry draws. PNP is another practical and accessible pathway to obtaining a Canada PR visa in 2023. Getting a nomination through the PNP will effectively raise your overall CRS score by 600 additional CRS points.
⇒ Step-5 Submit your Application if Received ITA
Once you meet the minimum CRS requirement, you will get an ITA from the IRCC. If you accept the ITA, you will have 60 days to submit your application to the authorities. While sending the application for a PR visa, you need to attach all the mandatory documents and fees with the application.
If you don’t compile any mandatory document with the application, the application will get rejected. Therefore, before sending the application, ensure the application is well structured and organized. A Canada immigration consultant will scrutinize your application thoroughly to minimize application rejection chances.
⇒ Step-6 Submitting your Biometric Fees
And here is the last step, where you are required to submit the mandatory biometric fees. The biometric fee for people aged 14 to 79 is CAD 85. However, if you and your family member are applying for a Canadian PR visa at the same time and place, the fee is CAD 170.
