Note: Here, we will be checking out streams of provinces that are connected with the Express Entry. Streams connected with the Express Entry are known as enhanced streams. Whenever you aim to submit the application via a stream linked with EE, your application gets processed within 6 to 8 months post-submission. Conversely, whenever you submit an application through a base stream, the processing time may go up to 3 years. A base stream is a type of stream wherein you apply directly to the province.

Saskatchewan-

Saskatchewan tops the list of being the best province in Canada for PR. This province has a plethora of jobs across different sectors, affordable cost of living, the best educational institutions for study, etc. Along with these amenities, the immigration pathways of this province are more streamlined than in any other province. This province has got three streams in total that are as follows:

  • International skilled workers
  • Saskatchewan Experience
  • Entrepreneur and Farms

The International Skilled Workers has three sub-stream with different eligibility criteria. However, two out of these three streams allow you to immigrate to Saskatchewan without a job offer. In order to be eligible for the third sub-stream under the international skilled workers, you need an employment letter from an employer having business in Saskatchewan. Occupation in-demand and express entry stand out as the sub-streams allowing you to move to Saskatchewan without a job offer. Conversely, if you have a job offer for at least one year, you can opt for the employment offer sub-stream under the skilled international skilled workers stream.

Occupation in-demand stream eligibility criteria-

  • You must have 1 year of full-time work experience in an in-demand occupation. You can refer to the SINP occupation in-demand list to know what occupations are in-demand. The list is subject to change as per economic requirements.
  • You are competent enough to secure at least 60 points in the SIP assessment grid.
  • You must have proficiency in either official langue of Canada.
  • You must have a post-secondary education credential to be eligible for this stream.

Saskatchewan Express Entry stream eligibility criteria-

  • You must have 1 year of uninterrupted work experience in an occupation classified under the NOC TEER categories 0, 1, 2, and 3.
  • You must meet the program's eligibility criteria via which you submit an Express Entry profile.
  • You must meet the minimum 60 points requirement in the SINP assessment grid.
  • You will have to submit a report of proof of funds for Canada immigration. Proof of funds report justifies that you are financially stable to endure your expenses and other expenses upon landing in Canada. You will be exempted from submitting the proof of funds report if you have a job offer.

Alberta-

Alberta stands out as Canada's fourth highest-populated and second-best province for PR. Obtaining a PR visa via streams under the Alberta Advantage Immigration program is straightforward and hassle-free. In order to get the PR through any stream operation under the AAIP, you must be standing with the minimum eligibility criteria.

As mentioned above, there are multiple streams operational under the AAIP. Let’s go through the streams that are interlinked with the Express Entry and don’t require a job offer. Alberta operates an Alberta Express Entry stream that doesn’t require a job offer. Before you opt for this stream, let’s have a look at its eligibility criteria.

Alberta Express Entry Stream-

  • You must be with an active express entry profile.
  • You must be eligible for at least one program running under the Express Entry System.
  • Your CRS score must be 300 or higher in order to get the nomination from Alberta.
  • You are willing to stay and work in Alberta only.

You can take up your possibilities of receiving a nomination from Alberta if:

  • You have obtained a job offer from an employer having a company in Alberta.
  • You have proficiency in French.
  • You have connections in Alberta who are either permanent citizens or residents.
  • You have completed your education in Alberta only.

Note: If you get a nomination from this province, the overall CRS score will increase by 600 points.

Ontario-

Ontario is also known as the hub of tech jobs. This province hogs the limelight of immigrants due to thousands of jobs across the different sectors. If you are a tech worker looking to settle in Canada, Ontario is all you need. There are multiple streams that Ontario operates via which you can immigrate to Canada. And each stream comes up with different eligibility criteria. There are three streams interlinked with the Express Entry.

Human Capital Priorities Stream: Ontario uses this system to find out candidates who can contribute to the expansion and development of Ontario’s economy. If you hold work experience in any in-demand occupation, your chances are higher of getting selected. Before initiating this process, ensure you meet the below-listed eligibility criteria.

  • You created an Express Entry profile either through FSWP or CEC.
  • You must have a minimum CLB of 7 in any official language of Canada.
  • You are planning to live and stay in Ontario.
  • You must have a proof of funds report to justify your financial stability.
  • The minimum education requirement is a bachelor’s degree.
  • If education is obtained outside of Canada, it must be assessed against the ECA.

Tech Draws: In order to bring more tech workers to Ontario, tech draws take place under the human capital priorities stream. There are six tech occupations that are eligible under Ontario’s tech draws. If you have work experience in any of these 6 draws, your chances are higher of getting selected for the nomination in the next tech draw.

  • Software engineers and designers (2173 NOC)
  • Computer programmers and interactive media developers (2174 NOC)
  • Computer engineers (2147 NOC)
  • Web designers and developers (2175 NOC)

  • Computer and information systems managers (0213 NOC)

Targeted Draws: Targeted draws are the type of draws wherein certain occupations are targeted that are in demand in Ontario. The list of the targeted draws is subject to change. The authorities may make changes to the list as per the economic requirements. Your chances of getting selected for the nomination will be high if your occupation is added to the list.

French-Speaking Skilled Workers: This stream mainly prioritizes candidates with a good grip on the French language. In order to be qualified, you must meet the eligibility listed below-

  • You must have an Express Entry profile.
  • You must be eligible for either FSWP or CEC to get into the pool of applicants.
  • You must be aligned with the program’s requirements via which you created an Express Entry profile.
  • You intend to live and work in Ontario.
  • You have a minimum CLB 7 in French and CLB 6 in English.
  • You have got settlement funds.

Skilled trades: To be eligible for this stream, you must have a Canadian work experience in a skilled trade. If you are currently working in Ontario in any skilled trade, you can apply through this stream to get the nomination for a PR visa. However, there is a strict eligibility criteria that you need to align with to get a nomination successfully. Kindly refer to the below-listed stream’s requirements to check your eligibility-

  • You must have a valid Express Entry Profile.
  • You must have a minimum of 12 months of work experience in an occupation of Ontario Major Groups 72 (excluding occupations under transportation officers), 73, 82, 83, 93 (excluding aircraft assemblers and aircraft assembly inspectors) or Minor Group 6320 (excluding cooks) of the National Occupational Classification (NOC)
  • You must have a trade license or certificate from Ontario’s College of Trades if you are working in an occupation that needs either license or certificate.
  • You must have a CLB 5 in any official language of Canada. There are two official languages of Canada (English and Canada).
  • You have enough funds to sustain your living in Canada.

Note: All these three streams don’t require a job offer. However, you must meet the eligibility criteria of the stream via which you apply for a Canada PR visa. If you get the nomination via any of these streams, 600 additional CRS points will be credited to your Express Entry profile.

NovaScotia:

Nova Scotia is one of thirteen provinces and territories of Canada. The majority of the population in this province speaks English. Getting a PR through this province is straightforward. There are multiple streams that exist under Nova Scotia Nominee Program. However, the eligibility criteria of one stream may vary from another. Let’s see through the eligibility of the streams that are linked with the Express Entry. If you submit an application through a stream linked with the Express Entry, your application will be processed within 6 to 8 months post-submission.

Nova Scotia – Labor Market Priorities: Labor Market Priorities is a stream under Nova Scotia Immigrant Program connected with the Express Entry. The prime objective of this stream is to help the labour market needs of the province. In order to be selected via this stream, you must have work experience in an occupation that is in demand. If you have work experience in an occupation that can help to fulfill the labor market needs, you must opt for this stream. Kindly refer to its eligibility criteria-

  • You must have an EE (Express Entry) profile.
  • You must meet the program’s requirement via which you create an Express Entry profile.
  • You get a letter of interest from Nova Scotia within the Express entry program.

Nova Scotia Experience - Express Entry: This is also one of the popular streams under the Nova Scotia Immigrant Program, via which you can immigrate to Nova Scotia. However, there is a strict eligibility criteria that you need to align with to be nominated. This stream predominantly targets candidates having Nova Scotia work experience. Suppose you are working or have worked in Nova Scotia in any occupation listed under the NOC TEER 0, 1, 2, and 3. In that case, you can get Canadian PR through this stream without any obstacles.
