Job Description:
- Fusion Welding: Operate butt-fusion, electrofusion, or socket fusion machines to join HDPE pipes and fittings, ensuring high-quality, leak-proof joints.
- Cutting & Preparation: Cut, bevel, and clean HDPE pipes to specifications using saws and specialized tools.
- Installation: Install HDPE piping systems in trenches, on pipe racks, or within existing infrastructures.
- Pipe Assembly & Layout: Read and interpret blueprints, piping isometric drawings, and layout plans to determine the correct placement of pipes.
Knowledge & Qualification:
- Understanding of HDPE material properties, pressure ratings, and pipe dimensions.
- Ability to lift heavy objects, work in outdoor weather conditions, and work in confined spaces.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot issues, replace damaged piping components, and perform preventative maintenance on existing systems.
- Conduct hydrostatic pressure tests (leak testing) to ensure piping integrity.
