Job Description:
- The main purpose of a Glass Buffer is to polish, smooth, and finish glass surfaces to improve their appearance and remove minor scratches, stains, or imperfections. The role helps ensure that glass used in construction, furniture, or decorative applications meets quality and visual standards before installation or delivery.
Knowledge & Qualification:
- Basic knowledge of glass polishing and buffing techniques.
- Ability to operate buffing machines and polishing tools safely.
- Understanding of glass handling and safety practices.
- Attention to detail to ensure a high-quality finish.
- Ability to identify scratches, defects, or imperfections in glass.
- Good hand-eye coordination and careful handling skills.
- Basic education high school or equivalent preferred.
- Training or experience in glass polishing, buffing, or glass processing work.
- Previous experience in glass factories, workshops, or construction-related glass work is an advantage.
- Ability to work in a team and follow supervisor instructions.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Polish and buff glass surfaces to remove scratches, marks, or rough edges.
- Use buffing machines, polishing compounds, and other tools to achieve a smooth and clear finish.
- Inspect glass panels for defects or imperfections before and after polishing.
- Prepare glass surfaces by cleaning them and ensuring they are ready for the buffing process.
- Follow instructions or specifications provided by supervisors or quality standards.
- Handle glass carefully to prevent breakage or damage.
- Maintain buffing equipment and keep tools clean and in good working condition.
- Ensure work areas are clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Work closely with other team members involved in glass cutting, processing, or installation.
