Job Description:
- A qualified QC Welding Inspector to perform inspection and testing of all welding activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications and international standards.
Knowledge & Qualification:
- High School graduate or higher, majored in Engineering (Mechanical).
- Minimum 5 year working experiences in oil, gas and petrochemical projects, out of which minimum 3 years in inspection experiences on welding/ piping erection.
- Experiences in Saudi Aramco projects is preferred and highly recommended.
- Shall be certified as an American Welding Society (CWI), CSWIP 3.1 Certified Welding Inspector or higher, or SaudiAramco approved equivalent. ASNT Level II qualification is recommended.
- Shall have a demonstrated background and thorough knowledge of codes such as ASME B31.3, 31.4 and31.8, ASME Section V and IX, API 620 and 650, AWS D1.1.
- Good Knowledge on Nondestructive Testing (NDT) and welding process.
- Good knowledge on procedures relevant welding/ piping erection works.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Conduct visual and dimensional inspection of weld joints.
- Verify compliance with WPS, PQRs, and welder qualifications.
- Monitor welding processes and ensure adherence to quality procedures.
- Identify welding defects and issue non-conformance reports (NCRs) as needed.
- Maintain inspection records, welding logs, and related documentation.
- Coordinate with welding engineers, site supervisors, and third-party inspectors.
