Job Description:
- To ensure statutory safety standards are adhered to.
- To support and to promote ACC project safety initiatives.
- To coordinate and to provide safety expertise to PM/CM, Consultants, Subcontractors, Vendors, Suppliers as required.
Knowledge & Qualification:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in HSE, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Marine, or Industrial Engineering.
- NEBOSH General Certificate in OHS (or NVQ Level 3 equivalent) – Mandatory
- ISO 45001 Lead Auditor – Mandatory
- OSHA 10–30 Hrs or other HSE-related trainings – Preferred
- Must have completed OSHAD SF Practitioners Course
- Must hold Grade B or higher registration.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Ensure site compliance with all HSE regulations and standards.
- Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, vendors, and logistics on safety matters.
- Monitor site activities, enforce safety rules, and issue notices or stop-work orders when needed.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and attend safety meetings.
- Assist in accident/incident investigations and recommend corrective actions.
- Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and coordinate required training.
- Maintain safety records and submit monthly reports to HSE management.
- Review risk assessments and method statements for hazardous activities.
- Manage emergency drills and support emergency preparedness.
- Oversee hazardous material and waste handling in coordination with relevant teams.
- Identify potential hazards and recommend preventive measures.
- Address workers’ safety concerns and support continuous safety improvement.
- Perform additional duties assigned by the Group HSE Manager.
