Job Description:
- To perform inspection, maintenance, and repair of heavy material-handling equipment such as forklifts and reach stackers, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with OEM standards.
- To support safe and efficient operations in port and terminal environments by minimizing equipment downtime and ensuring reliability.
Knowledge & Qualification:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Heavy Equipment Technician.
- Technical diploma or vocational course in heavy equipment maintenance or related field.
- Strong knowledge of OEM maintenance standards, hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Experience in port and terminal operations preferred (forklifts, reach stackers).
- Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
- Basic English communication (reading, writing, speaking).
- Medically fit and able to work in field conditions.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heavy equipment.
- Inspect and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues using diagnostic tools.
- Conduct preventive maintenance as per schedules and OEM guidelines.
- Maintain accurate service records and reports.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards during maintenance activities.
- Coordinate with supervisors to ensure minimal equipment downtime.
- Support in testing and commissioning of repaired or serviced equipment.
