As the nation battles to deal with severe workforce shortages, a diverse array of Polish employer associations are pleading with the government to review its corporate immigration laws.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

In an appeal to the Polish government, 11 of Poland\u2019s leading business organizations on 27th August 2024 signed an open letter highlighting the critical need for an \u201copen and welcoming approach\u201d. Although Poland enjoys one of the best labor markets in the EU and a very low unemployment rate, significant labor shortages persist in a number of fields.<\/span><\/p>\n

As of May this year, Poland\u2019s registered unemployment rate stood at 5%, the lowest since November 2023. The labor force participation rate, while fluctuating, remains historically high, but this favorable economic environment is tempered by the country\u2019s profound demographic challenges, which have contributed to current problems in the labor market.<\/span><\/p>\n

Shortfall Affects A Lot Of Sectors<\/b><\/h2>\n

The collapse of several unions and Poland’s entry into the EU have all contributed to the country’s economy growing significantly.
