In the first-ever category-based Express Entry draw for occupations in agriculture and agri-food, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has sent out 600 invitations to apply (ITAs). The cut-off Comprehensive Ranking System score for applicants was 354. Focusing on applicants with industry expertise, such as agricultural service contractors, farm supervisors, and retail and wholesale butchers will aid the industry in attracting the qualified people it needs across the nation. In 2022, Canada’s agriculture and agri-food sector exported food and agricultural goods worth close to $92.8 billion to other countries.<\/p>\n

The third Express Entry draw of the week took place. 500 applicants with a minimum CRS of 472 were invited from the French-speaking proficiency category on September 27.<\/p>\n
